Teams shopping Blackwell often want a single screen that lists B200, GB200, and GB300 prices across every provider, the way a flight aggregator lists fares. Those aggregators exist, but they answer a narrower question than they appear to. GPU marketplaces aggregate published starting prices across providers into one view, but those numbers are envelopes that drift with stock and terms, so a marketplace is a shortlisting tool, not a source of the rate you will actually pay. This guide shows what a marketplace can and cannot tell you, and how to turn a one-screen comparison into a verified quote.
What a GPU marketplace actually shows
Aggregator sites collect provider-published list prices for chips like B200 and GB200 and present them side by side, which is genuinely useful for a first pass. What they show is the range and who carries what, not a bookable rate.
Two limits matter before you trust the number. First, the prices are starting or list rates, so a "from $X" figure excludes minimum terms, region locks, and reserved discounts that change the real cost. Second, availability lags: a marketplace may list a chip that the provider actually shows as out of stock, waitlisted, or custom-terms-only. Aggregated GPU prices are an envelope for shortlisting, not a bookable rate, because they omit commitment terms, current stock, and the reserved discounts that decide the invoice. Use the marketplace to narrow the field, then confirm each shortlisted rate on the provider's own page.
Why the three chips behave differently in a marketplace
B200, GB200, and GB300 do not sit at the same point in the supply cycle, so a marketplace comparison across them can mislead if you read the rows as equivalent:
- B200: Widely listed, but often under limited availability or custom terms. Public single-GPU rates exist, but stock varies sharply by provider and region.
- GB200 NVL72: A rack-scale system, so most "on-demand" access is short-notice allocation against reserved pools, not elastic spot capacity. Marketplace rates for it are often custom.
- GB300 NVL72: Largely pre-order, so many marketplace entries are placeholders or "contact sales" rather than a bookable per-GPU-hour price.
Reading these as three comparable rows hides that one is roughly buyable, one is allocation-based, and one is a reservation. A single-GPU B200 rate and a rack-scale GB200 rate are not the same unit of compute, so compare within a chip class, not across them.

If you pick a Blackwell provider off a marketplace price alone, you risk budgeting against a rate that excludes the commitment terms, stock, and discounts that decide your invoice.
